Vintage Florals

 {vintage dress found in Amsterdam, J.Crew necklace, J.Crew shoes (on sale!), Coach bag}

This dress is one of my vintage finds from Amsterdam. I debated purchasing the dress, mostly because at the time it was forty degrees in Amsterdam (and, though it was April, showed no signs of warming up), but also because I happen to own another floral silk maxi dress that is strikingly similar.

However, the vintage hoarder in me, who tends to believe that a closet can never have enough floral print dresses (see evidence here, here, and here), won out. I couldn't leave that store knowing I had left behind such a beautiful print (and who could resist those delightful oversized buttons?).

Crazy Pants

{tank and pants found at Jane boutique, Madewell necklace, J.Crew wedges}

I have been looking for a pair of "crazy pants" for as long as I can remember. My qualifications for said pants were very specific: high waisted, wide legged, luxe-looking fabric, and a flattering print.
Enter these beauties: found in an unassuming boutique, they were exactly what I had been looking for.  Paired with a clean white tank, they are my new favorite statement piece. In fact, I plan to be shopping for crazy pants all fall long.

Weekend Wear

{J.Crew factory tank, thrifted Levi's cutoffs, Madewell necklace, Madewell sunglasses (similar), Coach bag}

My weekend uniform the past few months has basically consisted of these cutoffs (thrifted in Amsterdam), plus a drapey tank or tee (usually of the striped variety). I also have a serious obsession with this necklace-- I love its clean, architectural shape and mixed metals, and I find myself never wanting to take it off.

Yellow Crush

{Madewell tank, Madewell shorts, Madewell sandals, Coach purse, Flea Market Girl necklace}

After many months of waiting, I finally have a new and improved (and most importantly, functional) camera and I could not be more excited to be back to blogging!

We snapped these photos after a trip to the Melrose Trading Post (one of my most favorite Sunday activities). These shorts have been one of my absolute essentials all summer long-- they're breezy and comfortable, but still have a sense of specialness about them. I had never been drawn to neon yellow before, but after picking up these shorts, the hue became the staple color of my summer wardrobe. There's something so unabashedly fun about wearing multiple yellow pieces at once. For more color play, I also wore my favorite cobalt leather sandals and red lipstick.

In other news, I've started up a new Tumblr account, where I plan to post more personal style and fashion inspiration. So much to come!
